Meme Battle Royale: Year 3
Rules
1.) Kill anyone and everyone wearing a collar.
2.) If you survive, you win. If you die, you lose.
3.) There can only be one winner. If a single victor is not determined by the time 9,900 comments have been left on Part 335, all combatants’ collars will explode and everyone will lose.
(IC) Premise
1.) All combatants will awaken on Part 335 of the meme wearing a (Gakuen Hetalia) school uniform and a durable, specially engineered collar to track their movements and progress. Each collar is outfitted with a tiny bomb.
a.) If the collar is removed, intentionally or unintentionally, the bomb explodes.
b.) If, at 8,000 comments, it is determined that a combatant is trying to “wait out” the event without participating (i.e. - posting their activity in the activity check), the bomb explodes at a random time afterwards.
2.) Combatants are briefed via prerecorded video on the rules of Battle Royale.
3.) Combatants are given a bag of supplies before the battle begins. This bag contains:
• A bag of trail mix
• A granola bar
• Three bottles of water
• A compass and a map of the area, marked with a grid to form "zones"
• One randomly selected weapon
4.) Every 24 hours, a zone on the map grid (i.e. - zone A1, zone A2, etc.) will be announced as a "forbidden zone," and within one hour of the announcement, pre-placed explosives in the terrain of the zone will begin to detonate. Combatants are advised to evacuate any zone identified as a forbidden zone immediately.
Misc. OOC Technicalities
1.) If your character dies, report it immediately in the player death post in this journal. There will be updated "deadcounts" posted at 24-hour intervals to keep track of who has lost and who has not, with links back to the player death post for easy access.
2.) Godmodding is not allowed, both in regards to your character’s combat abilities and your character’s survival skills. Be courteous and realistic. Three strikes and you're out.
3.) Anonymous RPers should label their threads with either their assigned number or an identifying alias.
4.) Non-participants may or may not become involved in the battle. Whether or not they take part is their choice, but for all intents and purposes, treat them as innocent bystanders. Don’t hurt them.
Signing Up & Participating
1.) Comment on the sign up post.
2.) Provide a 100 x 100 pixel mugshot (an icon works) of your character for deadcount graphics. (Example!)
3.) You will be given a number.
4.) At the start of the event, a list of participants and their randomly assigned weapons will be posted on the meme.

And while that mechanic would make the characters more desperate to kill and survive IC, it could easily lead to instances of muns godmodding in order to keep playing as long as possible, and that could make things super not-fun for a lot of people very quickly. ;u;
